Wedding of the Week: Trace and Alexandra

The Happy Couple: Trace and Alexandra
Location: Meridan House, Washington, DC
Dress: Tre Bella - Jenny Packham - She found “the one” at our Jenny Packham trunk show!
Photographer: Jon Black
Where They Met: In DC at a UNC alumni event
Wedding Style: Elegant, black tie, but FUN!
Something Blue: A Rameses (UNC’s mascot) patch sewn into her dress
That Something Special: Alexandra is half Nicaraguan and as a nod to her heritage she had a custom mask made for an hora loca. Alexandra explained that “once the dancing started to get “stale” we surprised everyone with a procession of masks, beads, gold maracas, and latin music. That really made my seeding special!”

A Classic Tale: Doctor Falls for Nurse

Jeffery, a native Scotsman, made his way over "the pond" to complete his residency at Duke Hospital. After a shift or two in the emergency room the love story began as he fell for nurse Jayme.

We had the pleasure of playing a small part in this adorable love story when Jayme purchased her dress at our boutique. She adored the unique look and comfort of Jenny Packham's "Eden" gown. Jayme said "I cannot imagine having worn anything else!"

Read and see more of Jayme and Jeffery's sweet story on the Martha Stewart Wedding blog.

Wedding of the Week!

A few months ago we had the privilege of providing flowers for Molly and Bruce's wedding. The Rosehill Plantation in Nashville, NC provided a gorgeous background for the event. Despite the rain the couple was all smiles and joy!

Blue Willow Bride by Anne Barge

The Blue Willow line is the newest addition to our bridal shop. The line has fantastic silhouettes and great classic details. I adore the Bijou gown with it's shirred tulle v-neck and pearl alencon lace bodice. Tulle or satin, lace or pearls...check out these beautiful dresses on our Pinterest board or in person!

Another Milestone

We have many milestones big and small throughout our lives. Here at Tre Bella we often get to be a small part of a major milestone for couples, their weddings. This past weekend we had the pleasure of being apart of another major milestone in peoples lives, graduation from college. Located just off of Tobacco Road we regularly work with colleges and universities for events, conferences, and celebrations. No celebration is bigger than those happening this weekend...graduation! Congratulations to all of the new graduates out there (and happy mother’s day, too)!

All That Glitters

I cannot believe it is already the end of April! I normally don’t care much about things like birthstones, but I think we can all agree that April got the best one. Diamonds! As the saying goes “they are a girl's best friend.” Here at Tre Bella Headquarters there are a lot of sparkles. We have diamonds on dress, headbands, belts, and more. We are very excited to say that starting this August we will carry several shoes from Betsy Johnson that boast a good bit of bling.

Check out our pinterest board “All that glitters...” for some diamond and sparkle inspiration. Or make an appointment to get accessories for your big day!

Something Blue.

Modern Trousseau, one of our favorite designers to work with, goes above and beyond for their brides. We are all familiar with the phrase “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” The blue symbolizes purity, loyalty, love and fidelity. A wonderful ideal to incorporate into your special day! Modern Trousseau takes one of those details off of your checklist. They sew the note “exclusively for” with each brides monogram inside the dress! I am a sucker for details so I greatly appreciate this little undertaking.
