Photo Shoots!

Photo shoots are so much fun! We love doing them – we get to see so many creative things come to life at once. As Becky mentioned earlier this week, Chelsey from Gather Together Events put together a great one at the Cookery. We used a beautiful Italian guipure lace gown from Modern Trousseau called the Nila Gown. This stunning gown has a high boat neck collar and cap sleeves. The fit and flare skirt and a small train – great for any setting! We paired it with a Jenny Yoo long bridesmaid dress called the Adian. LOVE this dress – there are 18 different ways to tie it (we went with the traditional way). The light green color looked great in this setting.

We were so exciting to be included in this great photo shoot!! Thank you everyone!!

The images below are from a gorgeous shoot designed by Chelsey Morrison of Gather Together Events. Sarah Der (Sarah Der Photography) was the photographer and her images are amazing, so stunning. The beautiful venue for the shoot was The Cookery in Durham.

The bridal dress and bridesmaid dress are from our bridal salon – Tre Bella Bridal – see a post by Kate later this week for more images and information :)

Linens were from Party Reflections and Dave from Get Lit did the beautiful lighting!

Our Bella Bride Aneis!

As the warmer weather is creeping into our lives, I was looking back today at a true winter wedding. Aneis came to us looking for the perfect gown for her small wedding at an ice hotel in Quebec – it doesn’t get much colder than that! She was able to find a gown that still made her feel like a bride (and she could wear her bridal Uggs underneath too!). I was so excited to see the pictures from her unique wedding and they didn’t disappoint!

The Biltmore!

This past weekend I was lucky enough to travel to the Biltmore with my husband. We met up with his parents and his older brother and wife. It was a wonderful time and full of lots of inspiration. If you have not yet made it to the Biltmore for a tour, I can not recommend it enough. I went this past November for my first time and was equally as excited about my second trip back and enjoyed it just as much.

The house tour is fascinating and the stories of the Vanderbilts are very interesting, but I think its the grounds of the home that are my absolute favorite. The gardens are stunning this time of year. The spring garden has so many wonderful things blooming, including Rosebud trees, Dogwoods, Azaleas, Forsythia and Tulips just to name a few. The Tulips are my absolute favorite. Tulips are very popular among many of our brides this year and I couldn't be happier to see them around more often. Here are a few pictures of me and my husband Tyler in the stunning Spring Garden.

I am amazed by the entire grounds of the Biltmore and how beautiful they are kept! It was a wonderful weekend, and I am excited to jump back into work now with some great inspiration from my beautiful trip. We are so excited about all the upcoming weddings we have during this wonderful time of the year!

Wedding of the Week!

Carrie and Daniel Part 1

We loved Carrie and Daniel’s wedding last November at Duke Gardens! The color and flower combination was amazing – trendy and bright and elegant. Vintage cheese boxes, milk glass, hanging mason jars, paper lanterns, persimmons, garden roses, dahlias, fiddleheads are just a few of the great elements that were incorporated. There were so many personal elements – succulent favors, striped table runners, a map of the United States that was used for guests to find their table number, striped drinking straws. SO beautiful!

There were so many fantastic images from Kristin Bryum Photography that it was difficult to pick which ones to post so I am going to post another entry (part 2) to show more of the detail :)
