Our Bella Bride Aneis!

As the warmer weather is creeping into our lives, I was looking back today at a true winter wedding. Aneis came to us looking for the perfect gown for her small wedding at an ice hotel in Quebec – it doesn’t get much colder than that! She was able to find a gown that still made her feel like a bride (and she could wear her bridal Uggs underneath too!). I was so excited to see the pictures from her unique wedding and they didn’t disappoint!

The Biltmore!

This past weekend I was lucky enough to travel to the Biltmore with my husband. We met up with his parents and his older brother and wife. It was a wonderful time and full of lots of inspiration. If you have not yet made it to the Biltmore for a tour, I can not recommend it enough. I went this past November for my first time and was equally as excited about my second trip back and enjoyed it just as much.

The house tour is fascinating and the stories of the Vanderbilts are very interesting, but I think its the grounds of the home that are my absolute favorite. The gardens are stunning this time of year. The spring garden has so many wonderful things blooming, including Rosebud trees, Dogwoods, Azaleas, Forsythia and Tulips just to name a few. The Tulips are my absolute favorite. Tulips are very popular among many of our brides this year and I couldn't be happier to see them around more often. Here are a few pictures of me and my husband Tyler in the stunning Spring Garden.

I am amazed by the entire grounds of the Biltmore and how beautiful they are kept! It was a wonderful weekend, and I am excited to jump back into work now with some great inspiration from my beautiful trip. We are so excited about all the upcoming weddings we have during this wonderful time of the year!

Wedding of the Week!

Carrie and Daniel Part 1

We loved Carrie and Daniel’s wedding last November at Duke Gardens! The color and flower combination was amazing – trendy and bright and elegant. Vintage cheese boxes, milk glass, hanging mason jars, paper lanterns, persimmons, garden roses, dahlias, fiddleheads are just a few of the great elements that were incorporated. There were so many personal elements – succulent favors, striped table runners, a map of the United States that was used for guests to find their table number, striped drinking straws. SO beautiful!

There were so many fantastic images from Kristin Bryum Photography that it was difficult to pick which ones to post so I am going to post another entry (part 2) to show more of the detail :)

Spring Arrives.

Spring is definitely here and I couldn't be happier that it has showed up! Its arrival was late and I was anxiously awaiting it so I am going to let the pollen that has come with it slide :) Along with the warm weather some of my very favorite flowers have popped back into the shop. They were all missed very much over winter and it is so exciting for them to be back.

We love to see them all alone but then it really is the most fun arranging these flowers into pretty arrangements. Check out this beautiful arrangement from a spring wedding last week at the always beautiful Carolina Inn. It was the most perfect day and perfect ceremony in their sweet courtyard followed by a reception there as well. We love the pop of pinks, pretty aisle markers, lanterns and all around beautiful setting!
